The Family Trip - September 25th to September29th

This past Friday my family and I traveled to Huntsville, Texas to attend my aunt's wedding. It went pretty well but was stressful at times. Only who's wedding isn't stressful? I'm a bit jet-lagged from the trip and I lost a lot of sleep. I guess I can catch up on that later. I got to get my Feet pampered with a pretty pedicure and I opened the doors for the bride to walk through.
At the Reception there was a brisket dinner and a lot of country music. I felt completely out of place. (I'm a big city girl.) I did get through it though. I think the highlight was the fact that....Well let's just say I caught the...BOQUET. Gahh Yes I Know what that means. "The Next one to get hitched" As they say it. All I need is a Mr. Right. :) Well, I'm a patient person, so when it happens, it happens. For now I'm just going to life my life. Well that's it for now.

More Fun Stuff

Hey!
Well the FHE went great and so did institute. Sorry I didn't get pictures. I was too busy enjoying my time. :)
Right now I'm getting ready to go out of town for my aunt's wedding. I kind of don't want to go but its family so I might as well. Not to mention I got bribed in to it. "With what?" you say. Well lets just say some rosette stilettos. round toe satin rushed pumps, Ballet flats and 4 tops. Oh and a set of three pairs of earrings. :) Pretty good swap huh? lol Surprisingly it wasn't that expensive. The stilettos and pumps were Buy One Pair, Get the other pair for $10 at Charlotte Russe and the earrings were $6. Three of my tops were from target ( Target = Love :] ) and one was from Lane Bryant. Oh and the ballet flats were from Target as well. It was a needed Shopping trip. My clothes are getting bigger by the month! ( I'm trying to loose weight)
That's all I can think of for now. Until Next time :] \

OH... HEATHER SMITH YOU NEED TO COME TO YSA ACTIVITIES!!!!

Colleyville YSA Conference

Well the weekend was really fun and the conference was amazing.
On Friday we went to a park and bounce house relays, akward dating games, and some volleyball.
On Saturday, We attended three workshops (Want to be a Millionare:Here's How, Is it the spirit or Is it me and the Dating workshop), had lunch and then I went to my friend Karen's house for a four hour spa Session. It was very relaxing.

At 7pm on saturday we ate a dinner catered by On the Border. After dinner there were different events set up, like Karaoke, Ping Pong, Fooseball, Board games, the wii and of course dancing in the gym.

On Sunday we attended a fireside and guess what it was about...Just take a wild guess... Joy and Dating. It was very informational though, I assure you. On the way to the fireside we saw the most beautiful sunset and I just had to take a picture of it.
Like I said, the conference was all good. I just got sleep deprived :)
I'm going to FHE tomorrow and I will be sure to take pictures. (even though I don't really know how to work this to make it to my liking. ) Oh well talk to you tomorrow.

Bowling with Zach - September 17th, 2008

Wednesday night was really fun! A little awkward at first b/c we hadn't seen each other since 2007. Things eventually warmed up. For those of you who have no clue as to what I'm talking about, I went bowling with a guy friend of mine who is going on his mission on the 24th of this month. I will have to admit that I will miss him a lot and I'll probably be sitting next to the mail box waiting for his reply letters to come.
Any ways, when we got there at 6:30pm the cashier told us that they had a full house and that there wouldn't be an open lane until 8:30pm. (I saw open lanes) Oh well. We played pool and air hockey to pass the time. He beat me at all of it. :/ I told him I would get my "revenge" when we finally got a lane. Unfortunately, I didn't live up to it for the first three rounds, but on the fourth I beat him by 13points. :) I personally think he either let me win or his hand really was sore. He is a good guy though. I will repeat, I had a really fun time. :)
On another note, I will be going with Josh and a few other friends to the first day of the YSA Conference tonight. It's suppose to be a party in the park type of thing with dating games, Sand Volleyball and bounce house type of games.
I gotta do some house work now so I'll either post again tomorrow or, at the latest, Sunday.

My First Institute - September 16th 2008

Well I'm considering going back. I really liked it. The class I picked to attend was called Teachings of The Latter-Day Prophets and it was very inspireing and though provoking. The teacher is incredible (and that's not influenced by the fact that she brought cookies). She gave us a challenge to memorize the Living Christ by the end of the semester and I can't wait to get started. Afterwards Josh and I chatted with some friends, watched a ping pong match and went home.
I'm really tired right now and I have to get my sleep for a bowling farewell party that I'm going to tomorrow for one of my guy friends. I'll tell you about all that tomorrow.

First Young single Adult FHE - September 15th 2008

Another really awesome day! During the day I did some chores around the house and some future planning. (Like whats happening in the next few weeks)
I also went with Josh ( the one I mentioned in the previous post) to the FHE. It was pretty good. We had a lesson about light and an activity that included games from the "Who's Line is It Any Way" show. After wards we watched the first half of the Cowboy's football game and drove home.
Cowboys were not doing so great. I'm going to my first institute with Josh tomorrow and I'm so exited. Only, I don't know if I have to bring anything b/c i haven't gone to institute yet. Oh well, i guess I'll find out tomorrow. I'll be sure to write about it tomorrow.

September 12th / YSA Multi-Stake Dance

Tonight was one of the best nights ever. I maybe a little to dramatic right now but it was a really good night. I got to hang out with some of my friends from YSA and I met a new guy. He is pretty handsome ( in my opinion). We have a lot in common, from our interests in music to even where our extended family lives! We got along well and the conversation was easy. We did three rounds of slow dances too. After the dance was over, we drove to a nearby Stake n' Shake with a few other friends and had a bite to eat. We plan on hanging out some more, excpecially when he invited me to go to the YSA FHE every monday. How Fun! Oh and he told me that he might come hear my sister and I sing on Sunday. How far away dose he live you ask... He lives in Wylie! but he is in the ward boundaries for Plano 5th ward. Crazy. lol
As for the rest of today, it was pretty laid back. I did a few things around the house and prepared for what might come next week.
Well I'll write again soon.

Just To Catch Up

Well Lets see here. I haven't written in a while so this post is just to talk about some minor things that I'm doing right now.
On August 30th I had planned an air-soft party with some friends I havn't seen in a while. We were suppose to go over to breakanridge park and have an air-soft war with food and some other games. The only reason why I say "was" is because only one person showed up. So plans had to be rearanged. One of my guy friends from EFY 2007 was kind enough to come and even stay when he noticed that he was the only attendie. We ended up playing soccer in the back yard(he creamed me), we played the board game "Life", I fixed some taryaki chicken, pineapple and mango kabobs, Watched a movie and made our own desserts. It was pretty fun. I just have to remember that a party is not made up by the number of people in attendance, it is the quality of people.
On September 14th, I will be singing a duet with my sister in church. We are sisnging the song "I know My Redeemer Lives" but it's to a different accompaniment than the one in the hymn book. You should come listen if you can. I need all the support I can get. :] lol
On September 12th is a YSA dance and I'm really excited for that. The only thing that makes me more excited is, on the weekend of September 19th-20th, there is a YSA conference. There will be everything from a friday night activity, workshops, a service project and of course a dinner/dance.
As for the rest of my life... I'm studying to take the ACT for the second time and I still enjoy teaching the sunbeams. I mean that in all honesty too. It's not what most people make it seem to be. "Oh the dreaded Nursrey/Sunbeam Calling."
Well I'll write again when I get more news to tell. :]
