Super Duper Update :)

Wow I need to learn to get better at this. :) Well anyways I have completley finnished school at Remington college and I am now officially a medical assistant. I just have to start sending out my resume now (since externship is over). I had an amazing time working at Texas Child Neurology. The Patients were the greatest. They put a smile on my face everyday (but don't kids do that everyday anyways). I also loved working with the co-workers that I had and the Doctors were great as well. I would deffinatley recomend that facility to any child needing a neurological doctor. I was bummed when they said that they were not currently hiring but I am glad to have had the experience. My Graduation Ceramony is on November 12 (5 days after my birthday) at the Eisman Center in Richardson. I'm so excited! Mainly because this will be my first time walking accross a stage for a graduation. Since I was Home Schooled my last two years of high school I was not able to do the cap and gown thing when I got my diploma. They just sent my diploma in the mail and said congradulations. Not only am I excited to walk accross the stage in a cap and gown , but i'm also excited to be graduating with honors. Yay. Perfect Attendance and Deans List. :) I would post up pictures form my senior assembly but my camera is dead at the moment so I will have to wait untill I get my graduation pictures done as well.
Man I do have to say that heavenly father has blessed me soo much in my life, and I am very grateful for that.
As for Young Single Adult stuff, it's just the usual good stuff. I do still attend FHE and institute. Sometimes even going to the Allen YSA events as well. Also, as I've already told most of you ( I think the weekend after) That I got to go to this amazing conference at the Fort worth stake Center. It was amazing because I got to meet and shake the hand of President Uchdorf. One of the best sprirtual experiences I've ever had.
Another pretty cool thing that's comming up is the big 2-0 bithday for me. It's kind of weird but cool at the same time. The only thing is that it's the only birthday that I don't know what I'm going to do. I have no party planned and I can't really think of anything special that I want to do (Other than hang out with family and friends, of course). So I've told my Friends That I'm leaving it up to them to decide. Throwing it all up in the air. We'll see where that goes. :)
Well I have to Update my resume and get to planting them. We'll see how that goes. Till I eventually write again,

Haha wow

Sorry it has taken me a long time to update this. For a little while I almost for got I had a blog. Life has been a good type of buisy and I'm about ready to make more out of what I've learned so far. There is so much to catch you up on to where I don't know where to start. How about the car accidents. A month or two ago I got into two consecutive car accidents within 5 days of each other. One in a thursday and the other one the following monday. On the thursday car wreck I got rerended in the carolla, and on monday I rerended a big truck in the volvo. The Volvo was the car that didn't survive.

so yea now my dad and I share the corolla. I drive him to work and then i drive to school. I'm the main driver of the car so i guess it makes it mainly my car. :) But i share.

I can't remember any of the little stuff that happened between then and now. Other than the 2 weeks that I had the house to myself. My family went to navoo and I had to stay behind to attend school. It was pretty peaceful and i deffinatley made Dean's list that month. Well i've been making dean's list for a while now.

Speaking of school. I'm in my last month. Only 2 more weeks until my externship(this week and next). I have an interveiw this thurdsay for it at 8:45 am. They've placed me at Texas Child Neurology in plano. So I get to work with kids that have cerebral palsy, Downsyndrome and stuff like that. I'm soo excited! Hopefully after extern they'll hire me on. Mainly b/c I'm planning on moving out next spring and i have to get a phone and a car under my name before I do that. My friend jessica and I are planning on moving to Plano and rooming together in a 2bed/2bath apartment. I promise you can come visit when we are officialy moved in.

Well I have to get some excersize in before I go to school. So I will try to write later. See Ya!

Just Some Quick Information

Well this is going to be a quick update.
Yesterday we learned how to do a minor surgical procedure and remove stitches. Thank goodness we didn't practice on each other this time around, but it wasn't a mannequin either. It just so happened that we performed surgury on a pig's foot! At first I was a bit grossed out but I got over it quickly and did the procerdure really well. I can't wait to see what's in store for today. I'm so Excited. I must say I really am enjoying school. The minor surgical procedure was draining and removing a cyst from the pig's foot. Haha...yeeaa. Well I'm starting class so I'll write again soon.

2nd Test Scores

For my second set of tests I was a bit nervous to find out what I earned. I was worried about it all weekend. Then Monday came along First class went by and then it was off to my second class (the one I took the tests in). Mrs. Caldwell Handed back our tests as soon as class started. When I looked at the theory, I got a 100 and then I looked at the terminology and it was another perfect 100. I was definitely relieved. My goal to be on the dean's list is still going strong. :)
As for other news, the YSA activities are going great and Institute is definatley still a knowlege builder. I'm very excited for this friday though, because there is a dance and some of my friends and I are dressing up in 50's attire. I've already gotten a circle skirt and scarf for the outfit.
Today after school I'm going to a doctor's appointment to get a large bump on the back of my head checked out. It's been causing some really bad headaches, and I rarely get just a headache. Most of the time it's migranes. Hopefully all goes well in that department.
Well that's all for now. I'll write again tomorrow.

First Test Scores

Well I've just resently had my first two tests in school and I just have to say....I got a 100% on both of them! Just had to let you all know that.
This week in school we are learnig and practicing immunisations(Shots). One of the shot spots on my arm is brused but the other two are still fine. We started this unit yesterday and I was really anxious. I wasn't anxious to get the shots, just anxious to give them. I was afraid I would do it wrong or something. It went well though. We don't use real medicine when practicing, we use saliene. In my other classes we are learning about different drugs, their source and practicing on some more word elements. I am really loving school right now and I can't wait for classes to start each day. Studying is even fun because I am learning new things and I am starting to get the health care professional's point of veiw when working with patients. Well I have to get ready for class. I always come early to school for study time, but class is about to start so I'll try to write again soon.

School Officially Starts

Well... I've Officially started school! It's been great so far and I love my teachers. These ones seem happy to be teaching for a change. My first class is to learn how to operate the front office. That includes keyboarding, Scheduling and all the legal stuff that goes into a medical office. My second class is Medical theory. It's about the actual sicknesses and how you get them. After that is Medical Lab, and that is the real fun stuff. It's all hands on and we practice the procedures on each other. Not mannequins. Then its off to Medical Spelling and terminology. How to decode/ spell medical words and stuff like that.
We've already started learning how to take vital signs, Decode vocabulary and the cycle of transmission of diseases.
Well Im doing this on a school computer so I'm going to get off now. I'll try to write again soon.

Another Catchup - February 16th, 2009

Ha Ha Wow. I havn't posted any thing in a long time. Geeze.lol Sorry about that. Life has been pretty buisy around here. New Schedules for the family, YSA activities and Valentines Day are only some of the many things that are happening in my life right now.
Now let me tell you about each item. :)
The new family schedule consists of Getting up at 5:30 am to excersize while Naomi is at seminary, then its Shower, Family breakfast at 8 am and then School work at 9am-2pm then it's family time the rest of the day. Some times there are exceptions to the schedule. Like any YSA Activity, such as, FHE or Institute. Those activities normally end around midnight or one and then I go to bed and start the same schedule over again the next day. Thank goodness for Chocolate right. lol
Valentines day was pretty good. We had a farwell party the night before for my friend Mauri who is going on her mission at the end of the month. Any ways, Josh came over and we watched a Hallmark Channel Movie. (Yes we are still together. 4 months and Counting) He had brought me some pink and white roses, A large heart shaped box of Dove cocolate and a pink teddy bear. Verry Sweet. :) I gave him a cupcake form Sprinkles(Red Velvet).
On Feb. 23 I'm planning on starting College over at Remington. The Dallas Campus is in Garland off of 635. Remington is a vocational school. I'm going to study to become a Medical Assistant. The program is about 8 months. I'm very excited. I just have to get the Financial Aid meeting out of the way (Feb.17) and the Orientation on Feb. 19th.
I'm ready to get buisy with life so here i go! :) I will try to keep you all updated the best I can.
Talk to you later.
